Well.... congratulations to the Holidaymaker who managed to get an appointment on the same day!! As a resident, I have recently phoned them 'on the day' over 2 weeks, 6 times in 10 working days, having been in pain morning, noon and night for TWO weeks solid with what I thought was a frozen shoulder. When I eventually got in to see a Doctor, I was told that in future, with joint pain, do not make an appointment with a GP, but see the Physiotherapist! Was given a script for 234 co.codamol, told to take 8 per day, and it should be resolved in 12 weeks!! Am seeing a Physiotherapist privately atm due to a whiplash injury on the bus this June, which resulted in me being thrown from my seat, face down, injuring my right shoulder and knee, and my left elbow, which is still also in pain. This 'Doctor' did not care one iota....rubbish!! Nothing is great about this service!! I was in Hospital in Stoke 2 years ago with a Brain Aneurysm, and when the Hospital Doctor phoned this Surgery to find out the strength of my medication - for blood pressure, gout prevention etc. the Surgery REFUSED to tell them....the Hospital Doctor brought a phone to my bedside at my request, and I rang the Chemist I use, explained to them where I was etc.and gave them my permission to tell the Hospital Doctor. We had gone over to Stoke to our Daughters' and I was rushed by ambulance to the University Hospital in Stoke, where I was for 2.5 weeks!! I had my tablets with me, but I keep them in pill boxes. Amongst my tablets, I take Beta Blockers, so to refuse to divulge my medication details to the Hospital could potentially have been FATAL. Thanks Kinmel Bay Medical Centre....

The male receptionist today was amazing. I arrived at 8.30am as a holiday maker requiring an appointment- once he realised the problem that I had he went above and beyond to get me an appointment for this morning. Dr Cediel was also very, very good. Cannot recommend this surgery highly enough. Many thanks to you all, Karen Capewell.
